UPDATE: Death Notice:  Theodore E. "Ted" Betts, 87, of Jasonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital with his family at his side.  Arrangements were handled by DeBaun Funeral Home in Terre Haute. As Ted requested, there will be no service. 

UPDATE: Death Notice: Nancy L. (Slater) Caddell, 73 of Jasonville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, June 20,2017 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.  Graveside services are at 1 p.m. , Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, Indiana, with  Pastor Sam Bush officiating.  Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, Jasonville.

UPDATE: Death Notice:  Inez "Maxine" Thompson, 82, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 at Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.  Visitation is 5 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, and 9 a.m. until service time Friday, June 23 at Cox Funeral Home in Jasonville.  Funeral Services are Friday, 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Cliff Gano officiating.  Interment at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, Indiana.

The beauty of Shakamak State Park.  This is Lake Kickapoo,one of 3 lakes in the park.  The park is located a mile or so from Jasonville, and has around 300,000 visitors each year.
