UPDATE: Death Notice: Gayle Ann (Null)  Mitchell, 75, of Terre Haute passed away July 17, 2017 at her residence.  Per her wishes, cremation is scheduled.  Mattox-Wood funeral home was entrusted with her arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.mattoxwood.com

UPDATE: Death Notice: Mary Margaret "Maggie" Sluder, 95, passed away July 15, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital South in Indianapolis.  She was a resident of the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin, Indiana.   Service is Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Indiana Masonic Home, Charles Stanley officiating.  Calling is from 10 a.m. until time of services.  Burial will be at the K of P Cemetery in Hymera, Indiana.

UPDATE: Death Notice:Frederick "Fred" Glen Burger, 81, of Jasonville passed away July 15, 2017 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.  Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m. at Friendly Grove Baptist Church on Thursday, July 20, 2017, and Funeral Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the church, with Pastor David Smith officiating. Cremation was chosen and interment will be at a later date at Friendly Grove Cemetery.

UPDATE: Death Notice: Maxine L. Pittman, of Brownsburg, Indiana,  and formerly of Jasonville, Indiana, passed away June 30, 2017 at Brownsburg Meadows in Brownsburg. A gathering of friends will be held at the Jasonville United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 22 from 10:30 until Noon. Memorial Services will follow at Noon, with Pastor Zachary Manton officiating. Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, Indiana.

The beauty of Shakamak State Park.  This is Lake Kickapoo,one of 3 lakes in the park.  The park is located a mile or so from Jasonville, and has around 300,000 visitors each year.
