Bickel, 74 of Columbus, Indiana, formerly of Jasonville, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010; Sytha Ellen Turley Hatfield, 70 of Illinois, formerly of Jasonville, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010; Delmar "Wayne" Scott, 77, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010; Albert G. Wilkins, 69 of New York, formerly of Jasonville,  died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010.

SPORTS UPDATE:  LAKERS (17 -7) WILL PLAY NORTH CENTRAL (12 - 9)IN WRV SECTIONAL FINAL TONIGHT AT 7:30 P.M.  DEFEATED #8 WRV 44-42 IN DOUBLE OVERTIME.  NORTH CENTRAL BEAT CLAY CITY 60 - 57 FOR THE FINAL GAME MATCHUP.

Death Notices: Hazel Malone Calvert, 68, of Worthington, passed away at 12:48 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010 at I.U. Medical Center in Indianapolis. Private family services will be held with burial in Worthington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Wothington Chistian Church Monday, March 8 from 2 - 3 p.m.   Memorials may be made to the Greene County Humane society. Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences for the family may be made at welchcornett.com.

Deanna Mears Griffith, 66, of Bloomfield passed away at 9:20 a.m. Monday March 1, 2010 at the Bloomington (Indiana) Hospital. A graveside sevice will be at a later date at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland Indiana.

Monda L. (Dickey) Simpson, 81, of Paragon, Indiana, and formerly of Jasonville, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at St. James South Hospital, Chicago Heights, Illinois.  Funeral Services  1 p.m., Saturday, March 6, 2010 at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville, under the direction of Stuart Snow. Visitation from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial at Beech Cemetery near Clay City, Indiana.

Dorothy Louise (Goodman) Stevens, 84, of Jasonville, passed away at 12:14 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Services 11 a.m., Friday, March 5, 2010 at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan, Indiana, Rev. Joe Faust officiating.  Burial was in the Center Ridge Cemetery.
